The Naming of God
The truth is, humans are impermanent, especially being a teenager where self-discovery is a main component of this period in our lives. Everyone is constantly changing, so it becomes difficult to truly know another person. Through this self-discovery, we are also in search of a purpose in life. We want to find our place in the world and be able to contribute to society in some way.
When Moses encounters God for the first time, he was so afraid that he hid his face from God. When God assigned Moses' mission to free the Israelites from Egypt, Moses felt unworthy of such a task. Moses even requested God to send someone else to complete the task, "O My Lord, please send someone else," (Exodus 4:13). Yet, God reassures Moses that God will stay with him through this journey as Moses will serve as the mouth of God.
